first_imgMore nurses struck off, says UKCCOn 1 Dec 2000 in Personnel Today There has been a rise in the number of nurses struck off and disciplined,the first annual report of the UKCC has revealed. There has also been an increase in the number of rejections of applicantsseeking readmission to the medical register. During 1999-2000 there were 1,142 complaints, compared with 1,077 theprevious year and fewer than 900 in 1996-97. About half of the complaints camefrom employers, with the rest divided equally between the public and thepolice. The upward trend has continued into this year, with more than 600 complaintsin the first six months of 2000, compared with just over 500 for the sameperiod in 1999. www.ukcc.org.uk Related posts:No related photos.
